Zandvoort is known as one of the nicest seaside resorts in the Netherlands. But what makes this resort really special is the Zandvoort circuit. Especially now that the Formula 1 has a yearly stop here. Real daredevils can choose to race around the circuit themselves. Now that is exciting! Zandvoort is also known as a real artists' village. Besides galleries and museums, you will find beautiful sculptures throughout the coastal town. From Zandvoort, you can be in Amsterdam or Haarlem in no time.

Zandvoort is surrounded by the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park and the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. These beautiful nature reserves are so large that you can walk for hours without meeting anyone. From our campsite near Zandvoort, it is only a 32-kilometre drive to the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. Here you will find the largest population of fallow deer in the Netherlands. 

Restaurants and shops in Zandvoort

The best place to eat out in Zandvoort is of course at the beach! From several beach pavilions, you have a great view of the North Sea. This makes your meal taste that little bit better. There are also quite a few restaurants in the centre of Zandvoort. Around Raadhuisplein, Haltestraat and Kerkstraat you will find most of the shops. Many shops belong to local entrepreneurs. Shop nice items for the beach or score a souvenir for home.
