Duinrell is located in the most crowded area of the Netherlands, the ‘Randstad”, but also in the middle of a national nature park with a stunning forest and beautiful dunes. Duinrell is close to a picturesque village called Wassenaar, which is approximately 45 minutes by car from Amsterdam, 25 minutes from The Hague and only 15 minutes from Leiden. From Duinrell you can also easily visit the Dutch coast and enjoy its beaches.
There are multiple ways in which you can get from the United Kingdom to Duinrell. You can travel by ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam, from Hull to Rotterdam or from Harwich to the Hook of Holland. From these ports you can take a taxi or public transportation to Duinrell. The same goes for when you are taking the plane to Schiphol or Rotterdam Airport.
It is also possible to travel completely by public transportation by taking the Eurostar or Interrail train from London to Amsterdam. From the railway station of Amsterdam you can take different trains and buses to arrive at Duinrell. Of course you can also drive with your own car or camper from the United Kingdom to Duinrell.
From the airport of Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, it is approximately a 30 minutes drive to Duinrell. With public transportation this will take around 45 minutes. In this case you need to travel to the railway station of Leiden, then to Voorschoten where you take the bus to Duinrell.
