At Duinrell there is plenty to do for young and old, but do you want to spend a day with the kids? That's a good idea, because there is so much to do! Go climbing and clambering in the play forest, look for animals and plants or build sand castles on the long sandy beach.
The Monkeybos in Meijendel, less than 20 minutes by bike from Duinrell, is a play forest where children can climb and clamber to their heart's content. Children can literally and figuratively experience nature here. They can build huts, climb trees and there is a cable car, a lookout tower and very large water pipes through which they can walk.
Backpack on, binoculars and go! Search for clues together and discover what lives and grows in National Park Hollandse Duinen. In the Duintuin children from the age of 4 can see, hear, smell and feel all kinds of things. With a magnifying glass they go out to investigate and of course the kids get a tracking diploma afterwards! Or would you rather look for fossils and shells on the beach together? These are our tips for big and small treasure hunters!
There is of course a lot to do at the Duinrell Estate. But would you like to do another outing in the neighbourhood? Don't look any further, because we've made a list of our favorites.
Very easy and green: the hiking trails on Duinrell itself. Get out of your Duingalow or tent, walk to the forest to the right of the Rodelbaan and discover our rich dune area. Or start your morning with a ride on our fitness track in the forest. Here you'll find 17 super fun exercises that take about 1.5 hours in total.
Give your child a bucket and a shovel on the beach and bet that a sandcastle will be built in no time? Now all you have to do is choose which beach you want to go to ... these are our favorites.
