We are building a new Tikibad entrance

The Tiki Pool is set to get a more spacious, modern entrance. Duinrell director Philip van Zuylen van Nijevelt, together with his son Hugo, gave the symbolic go-ahead for construction by removing the existing Tikibad logo.

A fresh start to your Tiki Pool visit

Including its basement and upper floor, the new entrance building will be more than twice the size of the current entrance. A spacious reception area will welcome visitors with a staffed desk, more access gates and an LED screen measuring ten by three metres. There will also be larger changing rooms, more family changing cubicles and extra lockers.

New toilet facilities in the basement will also be accessible to amusement park guests. A gym and sauna are planned for the first floor. These will follow later in the 2027 season, after the new entrance has opened.

From the first slides to a complete water park

The Tiki Pool opened in 1984 with two large slides: Groene Barracuda and Blauwe Haai. An expansion added ten new water attractions in 1994. The Playa children's water park and the Triton triple-cone slide followed in 2017. The outdoor area was then renewed with a large water play structure and slides. Now we are building a new entrance.

Building work and opening plans

The new entrance is expected to open in spring 2027. The Tiki Pool will remain open during the building work, apart from a six-week closure in January and February 2027 for maintenance and construction. Outside that closure period, visitors will use a temporary access route.

We will share updates on the progress of the project on our social media channels.
