Dinosaurs return at Duinrell: Dinomonth and last rides on the Frog roller coaster
Wassenaar, Sept. 30, 2025 - From Sept. 29 through Nov. 2, 2025, Dino Discovery will take place at Duinrell. For a month, the attraction and vacation park in Wassenaar will transform into a prehistoric adventure, with more than 25 life-size dinosaurs roaring, moving and taking visitors on a journey millions of years back in time.
“With the Dino Discovery, we want to surprise our guests with a unique combination of adventure, education and spectacle,” says general director Philip van Zuylen van Nijevelt. “In doing so, we offer families a total experience that you will only experience at Duinrell.”
Dino Discovery: roaring dino’s and exciting discoveries
Visitors to Dino Discovery will literally be thrown back in time this fall. Scattered throughout the park, more than 25 life-size dinosaurs are on display: they move, roar and seem to have walked right out of prehistoric times. For children, Duinrell turns into an archaeological playground, with an educational scavenger hunt and real excavations of fossils. Those who successfully complete the tour like a true Dino Ranger will receive an official Dino Discovery diploma én a free keychain as a reward.
Dino-show with YouTuber Daniel Weyers
The highlight of the autumn vacation is the interactive Dino-show by biologist and YouTuber Daniel Weyers in the Summer Theater. From Oct. 18 to 26, 2025, he will host four shows daily in which visitors will come face to face with life-size dino’s. Moreover, the dino’s from the show can also be admired in the park afterwards.
Last chance for the Frog roller coaster
October is also hét time to take another één seat on the iconic Frog roller coaster. After forty years of faithful service, the beloved family roller coaster will close to the public for good on Sunday, Nov. 9. For many visitors, this makes the fall vacation a double experience: discovering dino’s én one last nostalgic ride on the Frog roller coaster.
